Asbri Planning have been instructed by Morgan Sindall Group and Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council Education Department to progress a Pre-Application Consultation (PAC) in respect of the proposed demolition of existing comprehensive school and loss of existing sports fields, construction of new comprehensive school, modified car parking arrangement, inclusion of sports pitches and multi use games areas, lighting, landscaping and associated infrastructure works at land at Llangatwg Comprehensive School, Main Road, Cadoxton, Neath, SA10 8DB.

In accordance with Part 1A of The Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Wales) (Amendment) Order 2016 (“the 2016 Order”), all major developments are required to be subject to pre-application consultation, prior to the Planning Application being validated by the Local Planning Authority. Under Section 2C Asbri Planning are required to make a draft valid planning application available publicly for comment for no less than 28 days.

All relevant drawings, reports and supplementary supporting documents are available for inspection and review below.

Anyone who wishes to make representations about this proposed development must do so by 13th June 2025. A public engagement event will be held at Llangatwg School on Thursday 5th June 2025 between 3pm and 7pm. Please come along to view plans and images of the development proposals, discuss queries with members of the team and provide comments on the proposal.
