GRADUATE PLANNER

Sion joined Asbri as a Graduate Planner in June 2025, following the completion of his degree in Urban Planning and Development at Cardiff University, which included a placement year. He spent his placement with RTPI Cymru — an experience he looks back on fondly. It helped cement his interest in the profession and gave him lasting memories, including attending his first conferences and a trip to Belfast.

Originally from Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, Sion is a fluent Welsh speaker, having been educated at Ysgol Maes Y Gwendraeth. He also speaks Polish!

During his four years at university, Sion was a committed member of the Geography and Planning football team (CPLAN). He’ll greatly miss his Wednesdays, which were spent playing football (poorly) followed by a lively team social.

Outside of work, Sion is an avid gym goer though he proudly avoids doing his cardio. He enjoys sports such as football, rugby and cricket, and is rarely seen without his giant green water bottle by his side!
