Project DescriptionA 2,250m2 Sports Centre of Excellence for Coleg y Cymoedd’s Nantgarw Campus to accommodate a 4-court sports hall, 9 classrooms, gym, WCs and changing rooms, staff office, treatment room, official’s changing room and sports store. The scheme incorporates indicative sports silhouette graphics on the two elevations that are most prominent when approaching the site from the south to ensure a legible, ‘marker’ building at the entrance way to Treforest Industrial Estate The accommodation schedule includes 18 classrooms, 2 staff rooms, WC’s and changing facilities, and social and recreational spaces. The new building is to be designed for circa 350 students and 40 staff and it will complement the new 8,500m2 STEAM Academy on the campus |
